Some designers use lighting to illuminate their fusion décor pieces. For example, modern lighting on a series of masks and headgear – Viking helmet, Mexican sombrero, and Russian bear hat – can bring out the best in them.
Ideas for fusion apartment design
By combining old and new materials, fusion design is also ripe for some very interesting visual ideas. Imagine what the somber deep brown of antique wood looks like juxtaposed with the glistening sheen of space-age steel. Visualize an earthy grey concrete sculpture embedded with translucent bluish resin to create a surreal landscape.
Color can be the ideal way to continue an exploration of fusion styles. You may have noticed that the traditional concepts of design usually tend to feature the same range or palette of colors. A fusion-inspired room can be created to have deliberate areas of interest that draw the eye.
These stimulating areas are balanced off by other places that allow the eye and the mind to rest. In a single room, these divergent themes unite to imbue a sense of balance visually and mentally.
